Separate location from evidence
A source URL answers a routing question: where did this product path begin? It may point to an album, a marketplace item, a supplier-style listing, or a converted destination. That location can be useful, but it is only one part of the row.
The stronger question is: what became clearer after I opened the source? You may have found the exact item identifier, the selected color, a complete photo set, a measurement table, material notes, included parts, or a visible update date. If nothing important became clearer, the source added movement rather than evidence.
Do not confuse access with verification. A page can load correctly and still describe a different option, omit essential details, or contain information that has changed since the row was shared.
What different source types are useful for
On a narrow screen, scroll to see every column.
| Source | Useful clues | Questions to keep open |
|---|---|---|
| Yupoo-style album | Additional angles, grouped photos, color options, seller or collection context. | Which exact item and option do the photos represent? Are measurements and transaction details available elsewhere? |
| Taobao listing | Item options, listing description, store context, visible product fields. | Does the selected option match the spreadsheet row? Is the link current, and are important details hidden behind the default option? |
| Weidian listing | Original product context, option names, store page, additional listing images. | Does the short preview match the full page? Is the same item identifier preserved after redirects or conversion? |
| 1688 listing | Supplier-style specifications, option ranges, packaging or quantity context. | Are quantity, variation, and service assumptions suitable for the comparison you are making? |
| Converted or agent link | A destination format that may be easier to open in another browsing flow. | Was the original item identifier preserved? Did the conversion change the selected option or remove useful source context? |
None of these labels is a quality grade. Treat the source as a place to collect evidence, then bring the item back into the same category checklist used for every other result.
Source identity references
Alibaba Group's current business directory lists Taobao and 1688 as separate commerce services, while Weidian's own site describes its storefront platform. These references help identify the destination family only; they do not verify an individual listing, seller, or converted link.
Match the source query to the page you expect
A Fyoubuy Yupoo search usually aims for an image-led album, while Fyoubuy Taobao, Fyoubuy Weidian, and Fyoubuy 1688 aim for marketplace or supplier-style product pages. Broader searches such as Fyoubuy source link, Fyoubuy original link, Fyoubuy raw link, and Fyoubuy product links are useful when the main task is tracing the row back to a stable product identity.
Converters change the address, not the evidence
A Fyoubuy link converter, Taobao link converter, Weidian link converter, 1688 link converter, or universal link converter may make a URL usable in another flow. A raw link converter or original link converter may try to recover an earlier source format. In every case, compare the product ID, selected option, and destination before and after conversion. A successful redirect does not prove that the product is the same, current, or trustworthy.
Build a source trail you can explain
Record four pieces of the trail. A short note beside the row is enough.
- Source type. Record whether the page is an album, marketplace listing, supplier-style page, or converted link.
- Item identity. Keep the visible item number or stable identifier when one exists. A similar title is not a substitute.
- Option identity. Note the color, size, model, configuration, set contents, or other variation the row is meant to describe.
- Evidence gained. Write what the source added: measurements, rear views, material details, compatibility, packaging, or nothing useful.
Example source note
“Weidian item page; product ID preserved; black color selected; page adds side and rear photos but no usable size reference.”
This note keeps the link useful even if you later compare it with another destination. It also makes the missing question obvious.
Handle redirects carefully
A redirect may be normal, but compare the item identifier and option before and after it. If the destination drops the ID, opens a storefront, or substitutes a search page, treat the trail as incomplete.
Do not rely on a screenshot alone
A screenshot can preserve a moment, but it may omit the selected option, URL, update context, or surrounding description. Use it as supporting context, not as a replacement for the live product identity.
Protect personal information
Do not paste account, order, payment, address, support-chat, or tracking URLs into public converters or shared spreadsheets. Product research links and personal transaction links should remain separate.
What to do with a broken or mismatched link
- Return to the row. Re-read the title, category, option, source label, and any saved identifier.
- Confirm the failure. A temporary loading problem is different from a page that now shows another item or a general storefront.
- Search by stable clues. Use the item identifier, neutral product type, and one distinguishing specification. Avoid assuming a same-looking result is the replacement.
- Compare the recovered page. Require it to meet the same category evidence as every other result.
- Mark uncertainty. If identity cannot be confirmed, remove the row or label it as unresolved rather than quietly substituting a new link.
A recovered destination is useful only if you can explain the connection. “It looks similar” is weak. “The same source ID, option name, measurements, and photo set are present” is a stronger trace, though it still does not verify quality or availability.
When is a source link worth saving?
Save or hold
The link preserves item identity, matches the intended option, and adds relevant photos, measurements, specifications, or context. Any remaining uncertainty can be named in one sentence.
Remove
The page is generic, mismatched, stripped of the item identifier, dependent on one promotional image, or adds no evidence beyond the source name.
- I know what kind of source page this is.
- I can match the product and option to the original row.
- The source adds at least one useful piece of evidence.
- I have not treated the marketplace or album name as a quality signal.
- No personal account or transaction information is mixed into the research link.
If the link passes this check, return to the product category and compare it with the same standards used for other rows. Source context should make the comparison clearer, not replace it.
